In most Indian cities the tap water reaching your kitchen is already low in dissolved salts. The risk is what it picks up on the way: bacteria from leaky pipelines, silt after the monsoon, and days sitting in an overhead tank. For that kind of water an RO purifier is overkill, sending water down the drain and stripping minerals you don't need to lose. A UV or UV+UF purifier disinfects and filters without touching TDS, and for a family of four drinking, cooking dal and rice, and making chai from the same supply every day, it is usually the right tool.

We evaluated 28 UV and UV+UF purifiers sold on Amazon.in and shortlisted 12, comparing brand-stated TDS limits, tank size, running costs, warranty fine print and the most recent verified owner reviews for each. The other 16 were cut, mostly for high recent failure rates, almost no genuine reviews, or an Amazon rating below 4 stars. Every pick here is meant for municipal water within its stated TDS limit, so if you're on borewell or tanker water, get it tested first.

How We Rated These Products

Based on purification design, recent verified owner reviews, running costs, storage and warranty terms for Indian city water

Scored out of 10
  • Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 30%

UV+UF scores above UV-only because the UF membrane keeps filtering during a power cut, when a UV lamp does nothing. Also weighs the brand-stated TDS ceiling and any certification the listing cites.

  • Owner Reviews & Reliability 25%

The star mix of the most recent verified Amazon.in reviews (up to 100), not the lifetime rating. Products with very few reviews are pulled towards the field average, so a handful of five-star ratings can't outrank a proven record.

  • Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 15%

Lamp and membrane prices aren't published on these listings, so stated filter life is the proxy, with a deduction where owners repeatedly report expensive or uncovered filter replacements.

  • Storage & Convenience 15%

Tank size and flow rate. The tank matters most on UV-only units, where stored water is the only supply during a power cut.

  • Brand & Warranty Backing 15%

The warranty terms and exclusions written in the listing, not just the headline '1 year' label, plus the brand's service reach.

Detailed Reviews

KENT Ultra Storage UV Water Purifier

Top Pick

The best-evidenced, most capable UV+UF purifier in this list.

Our Rating

8.0

Specifications

Brand KENT
Purification Technology UV+UF
TDS Suitability up to 500 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 8 L
Purification Flow Rate 60 L/hr
Warranty 1 year (non-transferable)

Pros

  • Largest tank (8 L) and fastest flow (60 L/hr) of any UV+UF purifier here
  • Genuine UV+UF: the listing title and bullets confirm there is no RO stage
  • Rated for water up to 500 ppm TDS, the most flexible ceiling among the UV+UF picks
  • Best-evidenced pick in the field: 4,504 ratings, and only 16% of the last 100 verified reviews are negative
  • Backed by KENT's large service network

Cons

  • One owner reported the tank cracking within five months
  • The 1-year warranty is explicitly non-transferable
  • Filter life is not published on the listing
  • Some owners report needing several service visits

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 8.8
Owner Reviews & Reliability 8.0
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 7.0
Storage & Convenience 8.3
Brand & Warranty Backing 7.3

Our Verdict

The KENT Ultra Storage is the safest default for city water: a genuine UV+UF design, the biggest tank and fastest flow of the UV+UF group, and a 500 ppm TDS ceiling that covers more municipal supplies than its 150-200 ppm rivals. Its recent owner reviews are among the cleanest in the field on by far the largest review base, so its score doesn't rest on a lucky handful of five-star ratings. The warranty is a plain, non-transferable year and KENT doesn't publish filter life, so budget for servicing after year one.

Aquaguard Sure Delight UV+UF 2X Water Purifier (Stainless Steel Tank)

The steel-tank upgrade of the best-selling Aquaguard UV+UF line, with the best warranty in its group.

Our Rating

7.8

Specifications

Brand Aquaguard
Purification Technology UV+UF
TDS Suitability up to 200 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 6 L
Filter Life 2 years (stated)
Warranty 2 years

Pros

  • Stainless steel tank: sturdier and easier to keep clean than plastic
  • 2-year warranty, the longest in the UV+UF group
  • 2-year filter life stated
  • Genuine UV+UF, rated for municipal water up to 200 ppm TDS

Cons

  • Costs ₹2,000 more than the plastic-tank version for the tank alone
  • Shares its review history with the plastic-tank model, so the 2,383 ratings aren't specific to this version
  • Some owners report PCB or motor failure within about a year
  • Slow technician response reported repeatedly

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 8.5
Owner Reviews & Reliability 7.7
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 7.5
Storage & Convenience 6.9
Brand & Warranty Backing 8.0

Our Verdict

This is the steel-tank version of Aquaguard's best-selling Sure Delight, and it earns its place with the longest warranty in the UV+UF group: two years. The purification stages match the plastic-tank model, so the ₹2,000 premium buys a more durable tank and an extra year of cover. Worth it if you want a metal tank; otherwise the ₹7,499 version is the same purifier for less.

KENT Maxx Plus UV Water Purifier (UV+UF+Alkaline+Copper)

KENT's flagship UV+UF with alkaline and copper enrichment - at a price that outruns its evidence.

Our Rating

7.8

Specifications

Brand KENT
Purification Technology UV+UF
TDS Suitability up to 150 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 7 L
Purification Flow Rate 60 L/hr
Warranty 1 year
Add-on Cartridge Alkaline + Copper

Pros

  • Alkaline and copper cartridges on top of UV+UF
  • Transparent, detachable 7 L tank you can clean without a technician
  • 60 L/hr flow
  • UV-fail alarm warns you when the lamp needs replacing

Cons

  • Only 13 ratings so far, so reliability is unproven at this price
  • The most expensive purifier in this list
  • Strictest TDS limit (150 ppm) of the UV+UF picks, so it suits fewer municipal supplies
  • Service complaints are already appearing

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 8.3
Owner Reviews & Reliability 7.9
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 6.8
Storage & Convenience 7.8
Brand & Warranty Backing 7.3

Our Verdict

The Maxx Plus is KENT's best-specified UV+UF unit, adding alkaline and copper stages, a detachable see-through 7 L tank and a UV-fail alarm. The problem is evidence: at ₹11,398 it has only 13 ratings, and its 150 ppm TDS ceiling is the strictest in the UV+UF group. Buy it only if your water is comfortably low in TDS and you specifically want the enrichment cartridges.

Aquaguard Sure Delight UV+UF 2X Water Purifier

The best-selling UV+UF purifier in this study, at the lowest price for its purification internals.

Our Rating

7.7

Specifications

Brand Aquaguard
Purification Technology UV+UF
TDS Suitability up to 200 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 6 L
Purification Flow Rate 24 L/hr
Filter Life 2 years (stated)
Warranty 1 year

Pros

  • Best-selling purifier in this list (300+ bought per month on Amazon.in)
  • ₹2,000 cheaper than the steel-tank version, with the same purification stages
  • 2-year filter life stated
  • Widest service reach cited in this field (19,500+ pin codes)

Cons

  • Some owners report PCB or motor failure within about a year
  • Technician no-shows and slow after-sales response reported repeatedly
  • Plastic tank feels less premium than the steel option
  • Shares its review history with the steel-tank version

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 8.5
Owner Reviews & Reliability 7.7
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 7.5
Storage & Convenience 6.8
Brand & Warranty Backing 7.5

Our Verdict

The cheapest way into Aquaguard's Sure Delight UV+UF line, and the most-bought purifier in this roundup. It purifies exactly like the steel-tank model, with a 6 L tank and a 200 ppm TDS ceiling that suits most city supplies. The recurring risk is Eureka Forbes' after-sales response, a complaint owners raise across nearly every brand in this category.

KENT Smart Plus UV Water Purifier (UV+UF+Alkaline+Copper)

KENT's compact alkaline+copper UV+UF unit - too new to have a track record yet.

Our Rating

7.6

Specifications

Brand KENT
Purification Technology UV+UF
TDS Suitability up to 150 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity Not confirmed
Purification Flow Rate 60 L/hr
Warranty 1 year
Add-on Cartridge Alkaline + Copper

Pros

  • Alkaline and copper cartridges on top of UV+UF
  • Fully automatic, with a UV-fail alarm
  • 60 L/hr flow

Cons

  • Only 8 ratings, too few to judge reliability
  • The listing's tank capacity (60 L) is implausible for a countertop unit and could not be confirmed
  • Strict 150 ppm TDS limit suits fewer municipal supplies than 200-500 ppm rivals

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 8.3
Owner Reviews & Reliability 7.7
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 6.8
Storage & Convenience 7.3
Brand & Warranty Backing 7.3

Our Verdict

A cheaper route to KENT's alkaline-plus-copper UV+UF setup, with the same 60 L/hr flow and UV-fail alarm as the Maxx Plus. With only eight ratings and a tank size the listing plainly gets wrong, you are buying the KENT name more than a proven track record. Worth revisiting once more owners have reviewed it.

ZeroB ULTRA UV Water Purifier (UF+UV)

A well-engineered 4-stage UV+UF design from an established brand, with almost no track record yet.

Our Rating

7.6

Specifications

Brand ZeroB
Purification Technology UV+UF
TDS Suitability up to 500 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 6 L
Filter Life 2 years (stated)
Warranty Not stated

Pros

  • Four-stage UV+UF design in which the UF membrane keeps the UV lamp from fouling
  • Rated for up to 500 ppm TDS, the most flexible ceiling here
  • Detachable, wall-mountable 6 L tank
  • 2-year filter life stated

Cons

  • Only 2 reviews, so it is essentially unproven
  • One owner reported a foul smell from their unit
  • Another found the plastic finish cheap
  • Warranty term not stated on the listing

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 8.6
Owner Reviews & Reliability 7.8
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 7.3
Storage & Convenience 7.0
Brand & Warranty Backing 6.3

Our Verdict

On paper the ZeroB Ultra is one of the best-designed purifiers here: UF ahead of the UV lamp keeps the lamp clear, and its 500 ppm ceiling matches the KENT Ultra Storage. But two reviews are not evidence, and the listing doesn't state a warranty term. A promising pick that needs a longer track record.

Aquaguard Sure Champ UV Water Purifier

The best-evidenced UV-only purifier in this study, with a rare third-party certification claim.

Our Rating

7.2

Specifications

Brand Aquaguard
Purification Technology UV only
TDS Suitability up to 200 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 6.2 L
Warranty 1 year
Certification NABL and WQIA stated (no BIS licence listed)

Pros

  • Best owner-review record of the UV-only picks: 15% negative across 89 verified reviews
  • The only purifier here whose listing cites third-party certification (NABL and WQIA)
  • Handles inlet water pressure up to 2 bar
  • Simple to operate

Cons

  • UV-only: no purification at all during a power cut
  • Homes with low water pressure may need a booster pump at extra cost
  • One owner reported a faulty TDS meter and no response from the company
  • One delivery arrived in a water-soaked carton

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 6.8
Owner Reviews & Reliability 8.2
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 6.8
Storage & Convenience 6.5
Brand & Warranty Backing 7.3

Our Verdict

If your water is clear and UV alone is enough, this is the one to buy. It has the cleanest owner-review record of the UV-only group across a genuine 89-review sample, and it's the only listing here that cites any outside certification. Just remember a UV-only unit purifies nothing during a power cut, so its 6.2 L tank is your only buffer.

Aquaguard Crest UV Inline Water Purifier

Aquaguard's space-saving inline UV unit, with the best warranty in the UV-only group.

Our Rating

7.1

Specifications

Brand Aquaguard
Purification Technology UV only
TDS Suitability up to 200 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity None (inline)
Filter Life 2 years (stated)
Warranty 2 years
Add-on Cartridge 3-in-1 Active Copper
Certification Copper stage stated to meet BIS norms (no IS 16240 licence listed)

Pros

  • 2-year warranty, the best of the UV-only picks
  • 3-in-1 Active Copper stage
  • Inline design saves counter space
  • 2-year filter life stated

Cons

  • No storage tank, so no purified water at all during a power cut
  • Only 10 India reviews, shared with the Enrich Neo listing
  • Most expensive UV-only pick
  • One owner reported noise

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 6.7
Owner Reviews & Reliability 7.7
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 7.8
Storage & Convenience 5.5
Brand & Warranty Backing 8.0

Our Verdict

The Crest saves counter space by fitting inline, and it carries the best warranty of the UV-only group at two years. But inline with no tank is the worst combination for a UV-only purifier: when the power goes, so does your drinking water. Pick it only if outages are rare where you live.

KENT 11138 Smart UV Water Purifier

Best Reliability

The single most reliably-reviewed purifier in this entire study.

Our Rating

7.0

Specifications

Brand KENT
Purification Technology UV only
TDS Suitability Not stated
Storage Tank Capacity None (inline)
Purification Flow Rate 60 L/hr
Warranty 1 year

Pros

  • Lowest share of negative recent reviews in this roundup: 12% of 51 verified reviews going back to 2022
  • 60 L/hr flow
  • Compact inline design
  • Backed by KENT's service network

Cons

  • No storage tank, so no buffer during a power cut
  • TDS limit not stated on the listing
  • One owner needed three service visits in a month for reduced flow
  • No return policy stated on the listing

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 6.5
Owner Reviews & Reliability 8.4
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 6.8
Storage & Convenience 5.8
Brand & Warranty Backing 7.3

Our Verdict

No purifier here has a cleaner owner-review record than this KENT: only 12% of its verified reviews are negative, over a track record going back nearly five years. The trade-off is design. It's an inline UV-only unit with no tank, so a power cut means no purified water until the power returns. A good fit for homes with reliable power that want a proven unit.

Aquaguard Enrich Neo UV+HMR Water Purifier

The only UV-only purifier in this study with a dedicated heavy-metal-removal stage.

Our Rating

7.0

Specifications

Brand Aquaguard
Purification Technology UV only
TDS Suitability up to 200 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 6 L
Warranty 1 year
Add-on Cartridge HMR (Heavy Metal Removal) + 4-in-1 Active Copper

Pros

  • Heavy Metal Removal (HMR) cartridge, useful where old plumbing may leach metals into the water
  • 6 L tank
  • 4-in-1 Active Copper stage

Cons

  • Only 10 India reviews, shared with the Crest Inline listing
  • One owner reported noise
  • HMR cartridge replacement cost is not published

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 6.8
Owner Reviews & Reliability 7.7
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 6.3
Storage & Convenience 6.8
Brand & Warranty Backing 7.3

Our Verdict

The Enrich Neo is the only UV-only purifier here with a dedicated heavy-metal-removal cartridge, which makes it worth a look if you live in an older building with ageing pipes. The evidence is thin (ten reviews, shared with a sibling listing) and the HMR cartridge's replacement cost isn't published. A niche pick for a specific worry rather than a default.

Faber XUV 8000 (UV+UF+Alkaline)

A large, well-known UV+UF line whose recent reviews are trending the wrong way.

Our Rating

7.0

Specifications

Brand Faber
Purification Technology UV+UF
TDS Suitability up to 500 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 7 L
Filter Life 2 years (stated)
Warranty 1 year
Add-on Cartridge Alkaline

Pros

  • Alkaline stage on top of UV+UF
  • Rated for up to 500 ppm TDS
  • Large base of 750 ratings
  • Tank-full and power status indicators

Cons

  • 30% of its last 100 verified reviews are negative
  • Owners report filter replacements costing ₹2,100-2,500 every 4-6 months
  • Leaks and electrical failures reported soon after the 1-year warranty ends
  • Several owners say it didn't last two years

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 8.6
Owner Reviews & Reliability 6.3
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 5.0
Storage & Convenience 7.5
Brand & Warranty Backing 6.5

Our Verdict

The Faber has the specs to compete, with UV+UF plus an alkaline stage, a 7 L tank and a 500 ppm TDS ceiling, at the same ₹7,799 as our top pick. Its recent owner reviews are the problem: 30% negative, with repeated reports of costly filter changes and failures just after the warranty runs out. At the same price, the KENT Ultra Storage is the safer buy.

Aquaguard Sure Mist UV+MC Water Purifier

The fastest-flowing UV purifier here, in the smallest tank.

Our Rating

6.4

Specifications

Brand Aquaguard
Purification Technology UV only
TDS Suitability up to 200 ppm
Storage Tank Capacity 2 L
Purification Flow Rate 120 L/hr
Warranty 1 year
Add-on Cartridge Mineral Charge (MC)

Pros

  • Mineral Charge cartridge adds calcium and magnesium back
  • Fastest flow in this list (120 L/hr)
  • Large base of 449 ratings
  • Touch controls and service alerts

Cons

  • Smallest tank here (2 L)
  • Owners report filter replacement is not covered by the warranty
  • Installation no-shows reported
  • 22% of its last 100 verified reviews are negative

Rating Breakdown

Purification Effectiveness & Compliance 6.5
Owner Reviews & Reliability 7.3
Running Cost (Lamp & Filter Economics) 6.3
Storage & Convenience 5.0
Brand & Warranty Backing 6.5

Our Verdict

The Sure Mist pairs the smallest tank here (2 L) with the fastest flow (120 L/hr), which suits households that fill bottles straight from the tap. As a UV-only unit, though, that 2 L is all you have during a power cut, and owners repeatedly report filters not being covered under warranty. At the same ₹7,499, the Sure Delight UV+UF is the better-rounded Aquaguard.

Buying Guide

UV+UF vs UV-only: the real difference

A UV lamp disinfects by damaging the DNA of bacteria and viruses so they can't multiply, but it removes nothing from the water: dead microbes, silt and cloudiness all pass straight through, and the lamp does nothing at all without electricity. A UF (ultrafiltration) membrane closes both gaps. It physically strains out bacteria, cysts and turbidity, and because it's a passive membrane it keeps working during a power cut. If your area sees frequent outages, that difference matters more than any other number on the spec sheet.

Why RO purifiers aren't on this list

RO (reverse osmosis) pushes water through a membrane fine enough to strip out dissolved salts. That's essential for high-TDS borewell or tanker water, but for water already in a safe TDS range it's unnecessary: a basic RO unit can send more water to the drain than it purifies, and it removes useful minerals along with everything else. This list is for homes whose water already sits within the UV or UV+UF working range, typically under 200-500 ppm TDS depending on the model. Not sure which technology your water needs? Our water purifier buying guide works it out in three questions, and our best RO water purifiers cover borewell and tanker water.

Test your water's TDS before buying

Every purifier here states a maximum TDS it's designed for, from 150 ppm on the KENT Maxx Plus and Smart Plus up to 500 ppm on the KENT Ultra Storage, ZeroB Ultra and Faber XUV 8000. Municipal water varies by locality and season, and one owner found their supply, mixed with borewell water, measured about 235 ppm: over the 200 ppm ceiling several Aquaguard models are built for. A cheap TDS meter, or a call to your water board, before you buy saves you returning a purifier that can't handle your water. If your TDS is fine but power cuts are long, a gravity purifier needs no electricity at all.

After-sales service is the real risk, not the technology

Across every brand we looked at, including Aquaguard, KENT and Faber, the most common owner complaint wasn't about UV or UF performance. It was installation no-shows, slow service scheduling, and filters not being covered under warranty despite '2-year filter life' marketing. Expect some friction with service whichever brand you pick, and read the full warranty bullet on the listing rather than the '1 Year Warranty' label: some budget purifiers cover only specific electrical parts, some for just six months.

What 'MC' and 'HMR' mean on Aquaguard listings

MC stands for Mineral Charge, a cartridge that adds calcium and magnesium back into the purified water. HMR is Heavy Metal Removal, a cartridge Aquaguard says targets lead, mercury and cadmium that can leach from old or corroded plumbing. Neither is a disinfection stage: a 'UV+MC' purifier like the Sure Mist is still a UV-only purifier with a mineral cartridge attached, and it still stops purifying when the power goes.

Why you won't find a BIS licence number on these listings

None of the purifier listings we checked publish a BIS (IS 16240) licence number anywhere on Amazon.in, whether in the spec table, the bullets or the images. It looks like a gap in how the category is listed rather than a defect in any one product. Only the Aquaguard Sure Champ cites any third-party certification (NABL and WQIA). If certification matters to you, check the brand's own website or the compliance sticker on the unit itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is the best UV water purifier in India?
For most city homes, the KENT Ultra Storage UV+UF (₹7,799). It has the largest tank (8 L) and fastest flow (60 L/hr) of the UV+UF purifiers we compared, handles water up to 500 ppm TDS, and has the strongest recent owner-review record on the largest review base. If you want UV-only, the Aquaguard Sure Champ (₹8,999) has the best review record in that group.
What's the difference between UV, UF and RO water purifiers?
UV disinfects with ultraviolet light, damaging microbes' DNA so they can't multiply; it needs electricity and doesn't physically remove anything. UF (ultrafiltration) is a passive membrane that strains out bacteria, cysts and turbidity and keeps working in a power cut. RO (reverse osmosis) uses a much finer membrane to strip dissolved salts (TDS), which is necessary for high-TDS water but wasteful and mineral-stripping for water already in a safe range.
Is UV+UF better than UV-only?
For most buyers, yes. UF adds a physical filtration layer and keeps working without power, closing UV's two biggest gaps. A UV-only purifier can still make sense if your water is already clear and your power supply is reliable, but it produces no purified water during a power cut beyond what's in its tank.
What does 'TDS below 200 ppm' mean, and how do I check my water's TDS?
TDS (total dissolved solids) measures the minerals and salts dissolved in water, in parts per million. Many municipal supplies sit below 200-300 ppm, but it varies by locality and can rise when municipal and borewell water are mixed. A basic TDS meter costs under ₹500, or your local water board can tell you where your supply falls.
What do Aquaguard's 'MC' and 'HMR' labels mean?
MC is Mineral Charge, a cartridge that adds calcium and magnesium back to purified water. HMR is Heavy Metal Removal, which Aquaguard says targets lead, mercury and cadmium from old plumbing. Both are add-on cartridges rather than disinfection stages, so a 'UV+MC' unit is still fundamentally a UV-only purifier.
Do I need a storage tank if my purifier has UV+UF?
It still helps. During a power cut the UF membrane keeps filtering bacteria, cysts and silt, but household UF membranes may not reliably stop viruses, which is the UV lamp's job. A tank of fully purified water covers that gap. It matters even more on a UV-only purifier, which purifies nothing at all without power.
What happens to a UV water purifier during a power cut?
The UV lamp stops, so a UV-only purifier with no tank, like the KENT Smart UV (11138) or Aquaguard Crest Inline, gives you no purified water until the power returns. A UV+UF purifier's UF membrane keeps physically filtering (though not disinfecting), and any purifier with a tank lets you draw the water it purified before the cut.
Why isn't there a BIS certification number on these Amazon listings?
None of the listings we checked publish a BIS (IS 16240) licence number on their Amazon.in page. It looks like a listing-format gap across the category rather than a defect in any one brand. If certification matters to you, check the brand's website or the compliance sticker on the physical unit.
Is NF (nanofiltration) or RO better than UV+UF for my water?
Only if your water's TDS is too high for UV or UV+UF, typically above 200-500 ppm depending on the model. NF sits between UF and RO: it lowers TDS somewhat while keeping more minerals than RO. If your water is already within the UV+UF working range, neither NF nor RO adds a real benefit, only extra cost and, with RO, wasted water. Our water purifier buying guide helps you work out which type your water needs.

Our Verdict

For most city households, the KENT Ultra Storage (₹7,799) is the UV purifier to buy. It pairs a genuine UV+UF design with the largest tank and fastest flow of the UV+UF group, a 500 ppm TDS ceiling, and the strongest owner-review record on the biggest review base in this roundup.

If you'd rather have a stainless steel tank and a longer warranty, the steel-tank Aquaguard Sure Delight UV+UF (₹9,499) is the upgrade, with two years of cover; its ₹7,499 plastic-tank sibling is the same purifier for less. If your power supply is reliable and you want the most proven unit, the KENT Smart UV 11138 (₹7,199) has the cleanest review record here, though it has no tank.

On a tighter budget, the plastic-tank Aquaguard Sure Delight UV+UF (₹7,499) is the same purifier as its steel-tank sibling for less, and the best seller here. If you have no steady power or a running tap, a gravity purifier costs less still and needs no electricity.
